He was born in 1964. He studied philosophy and theology in Zagreb and Rome (Pontificia Università Gregoriana), and acquired a PhD in communication sciences in 1996 at Università Pontificia Salesiana in Rome. His professional development includes working at Radiotelevisione Italiana in Rome and Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne. Permanently employed at the Centre for Croatian Studies since 2007, with the functions of the commissioner for teaching and learning. As the main course instructor he teaches Media pedagogy, Media in teaching, Teaching methodology of social sciences (communication sciences), Fundamentals of communication sciences, Journalism Ethics, Semiotics in mass communication, Film and religion, History and theory of film, Great directors of European cinematography, Media and children, Media and violence, Political communication, Sociological aspects of mass communication, Media and bioethics, Introduction to global communication, and Medienkommunikation und Öffentlichtkeitarbeit. He has participated in numerous scientific conferences in Croatia and abroad and published several books and academic papers in international and Croatian scientific journals and books.
