Biography

Domagoj Brozović was born in Koprivnica on April 10, 1983. He attended elementary school and high school in Đurđevac. At the beginning of 2008 he completed his pre-Bologna studies of philosophy and Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Scineces at the University of Zagreb, thus becoming a professor.

From March 2008 he was employed in an associate grade of teaching assistant, and then from the beginning of 2014 to September 2018 in an associate grade of postdoctoral researcher at the Section of New Croatian literature at the Department of Croatian language and literature, also at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. He defended his doctoral thesis with a theme from Croatian literary historiography at the end of 2013. He is scientifically and educationally oriented to Croatian literature of the 19th and 20th centuries. With several papers on Croatian fantastic literature in some of his scientific papers in international and domestic publications he employs innovative theoretical approaches, such as ecocriticism and new realism. Some of his scientific papers also aim at comic studies.

He is the author of one scientific monograph and several dozens of scientific and professional papers. As one of the co-workers in scientific and publishing projects he participated in publishing several databases. He participated in about fifteen scientific conferences. As a reviewer, lecturer and technical support he collaborated on several publishing projects and participated in the realization of several documentary contributions for radio and television.

He has been employed at the Department of Croatology of Faculty of Croatian studies at the University of Zagreb since November 2019, where he was elected to the scientific-teaching grade of assistant professor.
