A Cooperation Agreement has been signed between the European Parliament Office in Croatia and the Faculty of Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb

At the University of Zagreb Rectorate, on September 27th, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the European Parliament Office in Croatia and the Faculty of Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb. The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Zagreb, Prof. Dr. Sc. Stjepan Lakušić, represented by the acting Dean, and the Acting Head of the European Parliament Office in Croatia, Ms. Maja Ljubić Kutnjak.

The agreement enables students enrolled in courses such as "International Relations," "Sustainable Development Policies of the European Union," "European Union and Civil Society," "Geopolitics and Global Security" (led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Andreja Sršen); the course "Institutions of the European Union" led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Anita Perešin, as well as "Demographic Revitalization Patterns" and "Population Policy" led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Sc. Monika Komušanac, to attend workshops, lectures, and international conferences organized by the European Parliament Office in Zagreb and to gain practical experience with the functioning of EU institutions, the legislative process in the EU, EU strategies focused on resilience building, adopting an integrated approach to conflicts and ecological crises, priorities of the European Parliament, and EU programs aimed at the youth.

This agreement marks the completion of a cycle of quality collaboration already established in the sociology department at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, which has proven to be an attractive and effective method of instruction among the student population. Through this agreement, the Faculty of Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb has demonstrated openness to collaborating with institutions that offer students the opportunity to gain deeper insights into current foreign policy trends, changes in European integration processes, and international relations, which are the thematic frameworks of the mentioned courses.
